Her Story

A Life Dedicated to
Guiding Young Minds

Toral Sharan was born in Uganda, East Africa and raised in England, United Kingdom, where she lived for forty years. She is currently living in Dehradun, India with her family — bringing a rare and extraordinary global perspective to every student she works with.

Toral is an awardee for her work in the Careers Guidance field. A Chief Mentor in career counselling and admissions, she has more than twenty years of experience and expertise in counselling and all related matters.

She was the first professional Career Counsellor employed by Welham Boys' School — one of the top boarding schools in India. She was solely responsible for building a full-fledged careers counselling cell including guidance on subjects and stream choices, profiling, college requirements and applications both within and outside India.

She has also set up Counselling Cells at Ecole Globale International Girls' School, The Asian School, Mondrian High School and other institutions across the Dehradun & Mussoorie region — single-handedly engineering these schools into the national and international foray.

Beyond academia, Toral worked with Vietnamese Boat Refugees in 1981, championed Village Girls' Education in India since 1983, and today supports girls' education in Rajpur, Dehradun. Her belief is simple — education changes lives, and access to quality guidance should never be a privilege.

The Way I Work

Four Principles That Guide Everything

01

The Right Fit

Not the best-ranked university — the right university for each individual student. This distinction defines the entire approach.

02

Deep Listening

Far beyond grades and scores — understanding personality, values, aspirations and family context before any recommendation is made.

03

Honest Counsel

Students and parents deserve the truth. Guidance is never shaped by what's convenient — only by what's genuinely best for the student.

04

Lifelong Learning

Building students who are curious, resilient and adaptable — not just applicants who get accepted, but people who are ready for the world.

"Working for making a difference — from working with better foundations, especially young adults, and allowing them to make good choices and uplifting lives."
Her Philosophy

An Interdisciplinary
Vision for Every Student

In a fast-changing world, acquiring the right skill sets is critical to any journey forward. Toral's conversations with higher educationalists, entrepreneurs and industrialists across the board agree on one thing:

It's the need of the hour — an interdisciplinary approach combining Technology with Business & Social Sciences. Students who work with Toral walk away headstarted and all-rounded — confident to pursue their goals in a highly competitive world.

Her motto: "Live but live to share."
